    Start here

This is your private workspace for disputing the late marks and collection on your federal student loan that hit while you were unemployed and (you were told) payments would be paused. Everything you type is saved on this device immediately, and synced across your devices through your own private server once you sign in with your passphrase (Settings tab).

Educational, not legal advice. This organizes your facts and gives you adaptable templates. It does not file anything for you and is not a substitute for an attorney.
    See the full 7-step play
    1. Fill in your Profile once — your details auto-fill into every letter.
    2. Build your Timeline — unemployment date, when you contacted the servicer, what they told you, when the late marks/collection appeared.
    3. Log your Evidence — note what proof you have and where it lives.
    4. Pull your 3 credit reports at annualcreditreport.com and use the Error checklist to mark what's wrong.
    5. Generate & send letters (Letters tab) to each bureau, the servicer, and the collector. Certified mail with return receipt = your paper trail.
    6. Track every send in the Disputes tab; it auto-sets your follow-up date.
    7. Escalate to CFPB and the FSA Ombudsman if you're ignored or refused.
What this tool does vs. what only you can do

    This tool handles

    • Structuring your timeline & evidence
    • Auto-writing the four letters from your details
    • Tracking sends + follow-up dates
    • Verified links & mailing addresses

    Only you can

    • Pull your actual credit reports
    • Enter real dates / account numbers
    • Attach your personal documents
    • Physically send the certified mail

    Your details

Entered once, reused in every letter. Stored in this browser and in your own private database. Use last 4 of account numbers only — never paste full account or SSN numbers you don't want stored.

The core facts (used in the letter narrative)

    Saved

    Timeline

The backbone of every dispute. Add each event in date order — getting unemployed, every contact with the servicer, every promise made, and when the bad marks appeared.

    Evidence log

You don't upload files here — you note what proof you have and where it lives, so you can attach copies (never originals) when you send each dispute.

    Disputes & follow-up tracker

Log every letter the moment you send it. Your follow-up date is set automatically (sent + 35 days). Bureaus generally must respond within 30 days (sometimes 45).

    Letters

Auto-filled from your Profile. Pick one, review, then Copy or Print. Anything still in [brackets] needs your input. Send by certified mail with return receipt.

Where to dispute — verified links & addresses

Checked June 2026. Online is fastest; certified mail to the PO boxes gives the strongest paper trail.

Error checklist — mark up each credit report

Pull all three reports at annualcreditreport.com (free), not the Credit Karma summary. On each, check for these. Tick what applies — this is your dispute punch-list.

    Sync & access

This tracker syncs across your devices through your own small private server. The database token lives on the server, never in this page. To read or write, sign in once with your shared passphrase — it is remembered in this browser only and sent with each request.

Your whole tracker is stored as one JSON row in appdata(id, json, updated_at) keyed main (last-write-wins). The server exposes only GET /api/state and PUT /api/state; your Turso token stays in a server secret.

    Display

Make this workspace easier on your eyes and attention. Saved on this device only.

Backup (works with or without Turso)

Export a JSON file you can re-import anywhere. Good belt-and-suspenders backup.
